Options tab

The tab is divided into the following sections:

Yarn Length Control

Select machine side on which a yarn length control device is mounted.

Feed Wheel

Specify machine side on which a feed wheel is mounted.

Auxiliary Take-down

Activate check box if the machine has an auxiliary take-down.
The direct values are not written to the knitting program if the checkbox is deactivated.

Yarn Carrier Drive section

Type 1

Use Intarsia yarn carrier type 1 (120 mm).

Type 2

Use Intarsia yarn carrier type 2 (85 mm).

Clamping and cutting Positions section

: Only active with Yarn Carrier Drive Type 2

Inactive

Activate this option field if the threads must not to be clamped and cut.
: If the comb is used for the pattern, this checkbox is automatically activated as well.

8 - 8

Activate this option field if the machine has 8 times clamping and cutting beds at the right and at the left and if the threads are to be clamped and cut in the active pattern.

16 - 16

Activate this option field if the machine has 16 times clamping and cutting beds on the left and on the right and if the threads are to be clamped and cut in the active pattern.

16/8 - 16/8

Activate this option field if the machine has 16 times clamping and cutting beds on the left and on the right and if the threads are to be clamped and cut at every second position only.

Example for single sided clamping and cutting positions:
0 - 8 = 8 times clamping and cutting bed on the right

[C]-[C]

Use the units of collecting clamps on the left and right side.

Call up the Yarn Length tab in the Setup2 Editor.

Yarn Carrier Specifications section

Initialization values

Display the Yarn Carrier Allocation dialog box with the yarn carrier specifications as they were specified when the pattern was generated by the selected machine. This setting can still be changed here. By pressing the Initialize button in the Yarn field allocation dialog box, the yarn carrier settings are copied from the machine attributes to the Yarn carrier allocation.

Feed Wheels tab

List field
Friction feed wheels:

Select the side of the mounted friction feed wheel

  • left
  • right
  • Right-left

Electronic Feed Wheels:

Specify the manufacturer and control.

  • Specify the use and the allocation to the yarn carriers in the Yarn Carrier Allocation (yarn field allocation) dialog box.

CAN (MEMMINGER-IRO)

Enable the CAN-bus connection for MEMMINGER-IRO EFS.

Specify CAN-bus connection for BTSR ULTRAFEEDER2.

Serial (MEMMINGER-IRO)

Enable the serial connection for MEMMINGER-IRO EFS.

The information of the machine used for the pattern from the machine database is shown. You can change this information for the active pattern at a later time.
