Clamping / cutting

In these columns, you can define when the thread of a yarn field is to be clamped and cut and where the yarn carriers are to be positioned. If the clamps are not used for the pattern, then these specifications are ignored.

Whether clamping is used with the active pattern can be seen in the Configuration dialog box from the Clamping active checkbox.

The following elements are contained in the Clamp Yarn Carrier column:

The thread is clamped and cut immediately after knitting out.

Clamping at fabric end

The thread is clamped and cut at the end of the fabric.

 

Clamping after number of rows:

The thread is clamped and cut after the specified number of pattern rows.

The yarn carriers are moved to the SEN edge.

 

Waiting Position

The yarn carriers will be positioned with an additional distance (number of needles) from the fabric selvedge.
This waiting position will be kept until the reuse of the yarn carrier.

Clamp Home Position

Parking the yarn carriers after passing the unit of collecting clamps.

  • Thread can be clamped in this yarn carrier position.
  • Clamped thread can be cut in this yarn carrier position.
    Attention:
    With it, all threads, even not clamped threads, will be cut in this yarn carrier position.

No Action

The yarn carrier is not moved to the SEN edge.
