How to Create a Dimensioned Shape
Via Preset Basic Shape Types:
- The shape tape raglan is required.
- A shape with starts is required.
- The stitch density of the basic pattern was determined based on the knitting sample.
How to Determine the Stitch Density
- The stitch densities of the starts are determined.
- The stitch density of the collar and the linking trimming are determined.
- For new shapes the specification of the stepping is set in rows.
- On the Start page under the New Dimensioned Shape section in the left detail column select the basic shape type Raglan.
- The possible settings for the selected shape type appear in the middle detail column.
- Select specific settings.
- Variant of the neckline
with or without opening of the front (cardigan) - Seam Position of Collar
- Variant of the waist
- Dimensioning variant of the armhole
- Dimensioning of the sleeve length
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density [10 cm] in the Pattern group box of the right detail column.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by Stitches .
- The stitch density value is entered with the Basic Stitch Density label.
Stitch Density
- Select the desired needle action in the Filling Element list box.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density [10 cm] in the Waistband of Body group box.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by Stitches .
This value can differ from the stitch density of the basic pattern.
- The stitch density value is entered with the Waistband of Body label.
- Activate the Knitting Element for the Start check box.
- The options for the waistband of the body appear.
- Select the start module for the body in the list box.
- Select the settings for the waistband of the body:
- Quantity of Systems
- Elastic Thread
- Protection Yarn
- Transition
- Select a module in the list box under Knitting Element for Doubling.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density [10 cm] in the Cuff of Sleeve group box.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by Stitches .
- The stitch density value is entered with the Cuff of Sleeve label.
- Activate the Knitting Element for the Start check box.
- The options for the cuff of the sleeve appear.
- Select the start module for the sleeve in the list box.
- Select the settings for the cuff of the sleeve:
- Quantity of Systems
- Elastic Thread
- Protection Yarn
- Transition
- Select a module in the list box under Knitting Element for Doubling.
- Go to the Collar / Trimmings group box.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density of the Start [10 cm].
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by Stitches .
- The stitch density value is entered with the Start of Collar and Trimming label.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for Width under Stitch Density within Trimming [10 cm].
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by Stitches .
- The stitch density value is entered with the Linking Trimming label.
- Activate the Knitting Element for the Start check box.
- The options for the start of collar appear.
- Select the start module for the collar in the list box.
- Select the settings for the start of the collar:
- Quantity of Systems
- Elastic Thread
- Protection Yarn
- Transition
- Select a module in the list box under Knitting Element for Doubling.
- Click the Create Dimensioned Shape button.
- The dimensioned shape opens-up with the selected settings.
Via an existing shape:
- A file of a broadly similar shape exists.
- Call-up the menu under on the Start page.
- The Open dialog box appears.
- Select and open the file.
- Call-up the menu in the ribbon in order to save the shape with a new name.
Implement your own ideas:
- The shape cannot be derived from any of the basic shape types.
- A shape without starts is required.
- The stitch density of the basic pattern was determined based on the knitting sample.
- For new shapes the specification of the stepping is set in rows.
- On the Start page under the New Dimensioned Shape section in the left detail column select the basic shape type Private.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density [10 cm] in the Pattern group box of the right detail column.
- Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by Stitches .
- The stitch density value is entered with the Basic Stitch Density label.
- Select the Filling Element in the list box of the Pattern group box.
- Keep the stitch density in the Waistband of Body group box as it is.
- Keep the Knitting Element for the Start check box deactivated.
- Keep the stitch density in the Cuff of Sleeve group box as it is.
- Keep the Knitting Element for the Start check box deactivated.
- Click the Create Dimensioned Shape button.
- The dimensioned shape opens-up with the selected settings.
- Call-up the menu in the ribbon in order to save the shape as a file.
