Start Ribbon

The Start ribbon is available in the following view:

Dimensioning View

The available groups and commands in the ribbon may differ from view to view:

Commands in the Parameter group

  • Measures
    Shows the Measure Table with the measures and formulas.
    Dimensions
  • Knitting Ranges
    Shows the table of the defined knitting ranges.
    Knitting Areas
  • Stitch Density
    Shows the Stitch Density table.
    Stitch Density

Commands in the Properties group:

  • Line Properties
    Show the Line Properties dialog box with the properties of the selected line.

  • Marking Point Properties
  • Show the Marking Points Properties of Size... dialog box with the properties of the selected marking point.

Commands in the View group:

  • Dimensioning
    Shows the Dimensioning View.

The selected drawing tool executes the corresponding action each time clicking on the view.
Select the Select drawing tool in order to deselect the drawing tool and to return to the default view.

Commands in the Drawing Tools group:

  • Select
    Selects objects by click on them.
    Default behavior
    • and left mouse button
      Selects all objects within the drawn-up area.
  • Delete
    Delets objects by click on them in the view.
  • Horizontal Dimensioning
    Draws a dimensioning with horizontal positioning between two points.

  • Vertical Dimensioning
    Draws a dimensioning with vertical positioning between two points.
  • Horizontal Control Dimensioning
    Draws a control dimensioning with horizontal positioning between two points.

  • Vertical Control Dimensioning
    Draws a control dimensioning with vertical positioning between two points.
  • Add Shape Point
    Adds a shape point.

  • Add Symmetrical Shape Points
    Adds a shape point and its mirrored point.
  • Add Marking Point
    Adds a marking point.

  • Add Symmetrical Marking Points
    Adds a marking point and its mirrored point.
  • Add Symmetrical Point
    Adds the corresponding symmetrical point to the shape point or marking point by click on it.
  • Align Points Symmetrically
    Aligns two points symmetrically by click on them successively
    These points may even be at the same position.
    For example: Endpoint of the shape at the center axis
  • Remove Symmetry
    Cancels the symmetry of a point by click on it.
  • Copy Dimensioning
    Copies a dimensioning by click on it and pastes it between the points you click on successively.
  • Property Painter
    Copies the properties of the active object and transfers it to the object you click on next.
  • Align Points at Horizontal Axis
    Set the horizontal mirror axis and align two points symmetrically to it.

  • Align Points at Vertical Axis
    Set the vertical mirror axis and align two points symmetrically to it.
    Follow the hints within the view!
  • Align Points Horizontally
    Aligns two points to each other on one height on which you click one after another.
  • Align Points Vertically
    Aligns two points to each other vertically on which you click one after another.
  • Cancel Alignment of Points
    Cancels the alignment in vertical or horizontal direction.
    Click the desired points.
  • Add Multi Line with drop-down list box
    In the linking view only.
    Draws a line of the selected type from point to point.

Combine Fabric Pieces
Combines two fabric pieces at the left and right of the shape points which you click subsequently to a new fabric piece.

Commands in the Group Points:

  • Group
    Group Selected Points
  • Add to Group
    Add selected points to a selected group
  • Ungroup
    Remove selected points from their group

Commands in the Arrange Objects group:

  • Bring to Front
    Brings the selected object to the foreground.
  • Bring Forward
    Brings the selected object one layer to the front.
  • Send to Back
    Sends the selected object to the background.
  • Send Backward
    Sends the selected object one layer to the back.

The commands affect objects of the same kind only.

  • Overlapping knitting ranges
    • Knitting ranges are placed directly upon the basic element
    • Fading-out of the basic element always covers the knitting range
  • The fix order of shape elements from bottom to top:
    • Within Shape
    • Gore
    • Dart
    • Hole
    • You can arrange the shape elements of the same type.

Commands in the Navigation group:


  • Back
    Go to the previous object.

  • Next
    Go to the next object.

  • Opposite
    Jump to the opposite, mirrored object.

The navigation commands operate on the following objects:

  • Shape Lines
    Selection will follow the polyline
  • Shape Points
    Selection will follow the polyline
  • Marking Points
    Selection will follow the order by which you added the marking points.
