Define Reference Row

If the module or pattern has several stitch rows within a pattern row you can specify from which stitch row the module is to be inserted only within the first pattern row clicking on it when inserting modules in the Technical Row Presentation . With the Define Reference Row function in the Edit menu you also specify for the other pattern rows which stitch row of the module is to be positioned on which stitch row in the pattern.
You can define an empty row as reference row.
Only one reference row may exist per pattern row.

Where is the reference row defined?

You do not need a reference row is such cases.

Define reference row in the module and pattern:

  1. The Technical view window is active.
    1
Select a technical row in the module or pattern.
    2
Call up the Define Reference Row function in the Edit menu.
  1. The character ! appears in the control column next to the technical row number.

You can now position the module in the fabric taking the selected symbol in the module data toolbar into account. Please read the chapter The meaning of colors to learn what must be observed here.
With the Insert Modules Without Row Alignment function in the Module menu, you insert a module independently of the pattern rows.

The reference row is removed again by repeating the procedure or by defining a different stitch row within the pattern row as a reference row.
