How to Create a Dimensioned Shape

Via Preset Basic Shape Types:

    • The shape tape raglan is required.
    • A shape with starts is required.
    • The stitch density of the basic pattern was determined based on the knitting sample.

    • The stitch densities of the starts are determined.
    • The stitch density of the collar and the linking trimming are determined.
    • For new shapes the specification of the stepping is set in rows.
  1. On the Start page under the New Dimensioned Shape section in the left detail column select the basic shape type RaglanShapeTypeRaglan.
    • The possible settings for the selected shape type appear in the middle detail column.
  2. Select specific settings.
  3. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density [10 cm]TextBox+Spin_10.00 in the Pattern group box of the right detail column.
  4. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by StitchesTextBox+Spin_10.00.
    • The stitch density value is entered with the Basic Stitch Density label.

  5. Select the desired needle action in the Filling ElementList Box White list box.
  6. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the WidthTextBox+Spin_10.00 under Stitch Density [10 cm] in the Waistband of Body group box.
  7. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by StitchesTextBox+Spin_10.00.
    This value can differ from the stitch density of the basic pattern.
    • The stitch density value is entered with the Waistband of Body label.
  8. Activate the CheckBoxOnKnitting Element for the Start check box.
    • The options for the waistband of the body appear.
  9. Select the start module for the body in the List Box White list box.
  10. Select the settings for the waistband of the body:
    • Quantity of Systems

    • Elastic Thread

    • Protection Yarn

    • Transition

  11. Select a module in the list box List Box White under Knitting Element for Doubling.
  12. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the WidthTextBox+Spin_10.00 under Stitch Density [10 cm] in the Cuff of Sleeve group box.
  13. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by StitchesTextBox+Spin_10.00.
    • The stitch density value is entered with the Cuff of Sleeve label.
  14. Activate the CheckBoxOnKnitting Element for the Start check box.
    • The options for the cuff of the sleeve appear.
  15. Select the start module for the sleeve in the List Box White list box.
  16. Select the settings for the cuff of the sleeve:

  18. Elastic Thread
  19. Protection Yarn
  20. Transition
  21. Select a module in the list box List Box White under Knitting Element for Doubling.
  22. Go to the Collar / Trimmings group box.
  23. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the WidthTextBox+Spin_10.00 under Stitch Density of the Start [10 cm].
  24. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by StitchesTextBox+Spin_10.00.
    • The stitch density value is entered with the Start of Collar and Trimming label.
  25. Enter the determined value in the edit box for WidthTextBox+Spin_10.00 under Stitch Density within Trimming [10 cm].
  26. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by StitchesTextBox+Spin_10.00.
    • The stitch density value is entered with the Linking Trimming label.
  27. Activate the CheckBoxOnKnitting Element for the Start check box.
    • The options for the start of collar appear.
  28. Select the start module for the collar in the List Box White list box.
  29. Select the settings for the start of the collar:
  30. Quantity of Systems
  31. Elastic Thread
  32. Protection Yarn
  33. Transition
  34. Select a module in the list box List Box White under Knitting Element for Doubling.
  35. Click the Create Dimensioned Shape button.
    • The dimensioned shape opens-up with the selected settings.

Via an existing shape:

    • A Start_Dia_FormularShapeGreen32 gks file of a broadly similar shape exists.
  1. Call-up the FileOpenOpen... menu under the Start on the Start page.
    • The Open dialog box appears.
  2. Start_Dia_FormularShapeGreen32 Select and open the gks file.
  3. Call-up the FileSaveAsSave as… menu in the File ribbon in order to save the shape with a new name.

Implement your own ideas:

    PrivateShapeType

    • The shape cannot be derived from any of the basic shape types.
    • A shape without starts is required.
    • The stitch density of the basic pattern was determined based on the knitting sample.
    • For new shapes the specification of the stepping is set in rows.
  1. On the Start page under the New Dimensioned Shape section in the left detail column select the basic shape type PrivateShapeTypePrivate.
  2. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Width under Stitch Density [10 cm]TextBox+Spin_10.00 in the Pattern group box of the right detail column.
  3. Enter the determined value in the edit box for the Height by StitchesTextBox+Spin_10.00.
    • The stitch density value is entered with the Basic Stitch Density label.
  4. Select the Filling Element in the List Box White list box of the Pattern group box.
  5. Keep the stitch density in the Waistband of Body group box as it is.
  6. Keep the CheckBoxOffKnitting Element for the Start check box deactivated.
  7. Keep the stitch density in the Cuff of Sleeve group box as it is.
  8. Keep the CheckBoxOffKnitting Element for the Start check box deactivated.
  9. Click the Create Dimensioned Shape button.
    • The dimensioned shape opens-up with the selected settings.
  10. Call-up the FileSaveSave as… menu in the File ribbon in order to save the shape as a file.
