From draft to fabric

The basic steps for a new pattern in the Design Mode differ depending on the pattern types Pattern without shape, Fully Fashion pattern and k&w pattern:

Open New pattern in the M1plus main program and select a machine from the machine database (Machine Explorer).

Select the pattern type:
Basic pattern

Select the pattern type:
Shaped Pattern

Select the pattern type:
k&w Basic Pattern

Select Design Pattern (design mode)

Select basic pattern and start from the module database (Module Explorer).

Select a k&w basic pattern from the module database (Module Explorer).

 

Select shape.

Draw the pattern in the design mode:

 

To expand a basic pattern without shape to a fully fashion pattern, create a shape in the Shape Editor or open and position a shape.

Open and position k&w Shape.

Edit shape in the Symbol view (shape).

 

Cut-out shape.

Select start.

Cut-out shape.

Generate Module Arrangements and Color Arrangements from selected areas and edit in the Arrangement Editors.

 

Generate k&w Arrangements.

Edit the Pattern Parameters in the Pattern Parameter Tables.

Assign yarn carriers in the yarn field view.

Make settings in the Yarn field allocation dialog box.

Expand modules and arrangements in the entire pattern.

State of pattern: expanded pattern

Start the Technical Processing.

Start the re-processing with modifications after the technical processing.

State of pattern:
Processed Pattern / Re-processed Pattern

Start generating Sintral.

Check the Sintral in Sintral Check and start, for example, calculating knitting time and yarn consumption.

Save knitting program and load the data into the machine:

  • Knit Memory Card (KMC) and Image file
  • Disk
  • USB stick
  • Online

Undo action (Ctrl + Z)

Redo (Ctrl+R)
